Sonja Adelle

Bio:

Adelle (Sonja Adelle Loader-Jurac) is a female DJ from Christchurch, New Zealand. From the age of 17 she started playing tunes of the hard dance and hardstyle variety playing her first set in Wellington.

Adelle plays a spread of genre’s including electro, breaks, house, progressive and  techno and played to a range of different audience from All-age gigs, outdoor parties, regular club nights and special events and functions. With all these influences combined Adelle plays and eclectic mix  keeping her sets fresh and full of energy.

Her sound contains wobbly basslines, big breakdowns, fidgety beats and dance floor fun. With a big enough tune selection to suit all hours of the day and night Adelle plays electro that ranges from progressive to full on party beats that get a little grimey.

After being immersed in the dance scene for last couple of years, Adelle has been seen playing for crews such as Nitrate, Rinsed, Massive, R-ONE, Matrix Crew and playing support for DJ Weaver, Storm, Luna-C, Dom Sweeden, Jody6, Trolley Snatcher, Futurebound, Matrix, Aural Trash and many more.

Previous projects of Adelle have included hosting a show on Wellington based Munt FM and running a party night called “Electopia” an electro house and breaks night and residencies at The Drop and Double Happy.

Adelle currently hosts a show on Pulzar FM 105.7 with friend and regular DJ partner Anikin Friday nights 10pm-12am and holds a residency monthly at Concrete Club. Adelle also works as a freelance Graphic and Web Designer with a heavy music orientation for her design work. Keeping her life full of creativity and music gives her inspiration and unique take on her DJ-ing.
